PLANT LABELS:
AN ATTRACTIVE USE OF WINE BOTTLE CORKS

This Saturday, 29 June 2019, I took the bus to the beach to get out of the house. While walking back to the park, where the bus stops, I saw this whiskey keg in front of one of the shops. The keg was being used to grow herbs. The shopkeeper had used wine corks mounted on stainless steel forks to label the herbs.

Sunday, a visitor, at church in Los Angeles, pointed out that in addition to being very attractive, these plant labels were also eco-friendly, as opposed to the traditional plastic labels.

Yes, that tiny bit of red and white stripes on the middle right of the photograph, is an American flag. There were flags everywhere Saturday. I guess people are getting ready for the 4th of July.
